Alberto Alcalde is an architect with nearly two decades of experience in emergency response and recovery in contexts of conflict, disasters, and development. He has served with various NGOs and UN agencies, including several years in the Middle East. Currently, he is part of the Global Shelter and Settlements team at IOM Headquarters, where he supports the design and implementation of inclusive recovery programmes that ensure no one is left behind.
