Dr. Arabi Al-Masri is a Professor of Media Editing and Head of the Radio and Television Department at the Faculty of Media, Damascus University. He is also a trainer with numerous local institutions as well as Arab and international organizations.
He is the author of UNESCO’s Media Literacy Guide and the Guide on Media Coverage of Gender-Based Violence Issues, in addition to the Investigative Journalism Training Manual.
Dr. Al-Masri has also authored several books, including News Sciences and the Art of Editing, The Press Interview, and New Journalisms: From Constructive to Solutions Journalism, alongside many other publications and research studies.
